EXPLORE RETURN TO PLAYThe Load Theory team
Our physios, rehab coaches and sport scientists have spent careers inside professional medical rooms, from footy clubs to national programs.
We've run return-to-play for AFL midfielders, Olympic rowers and Grand Slam juniors. Our team includes a former national-squad physio, two sport scientists with PhDs in tendon loading and coaches who have rebuilt hundreds of knees.
This isn't a clinic with certificates on the wall. It's a team that has done the work at the top level and brings the same standard to everyone who walks in, from first-grade players to first-time runners.

Our process
Whether you're preparing for a season, recovering from surgery or trying to run without pain, the process is the same: measure first, load second, re-test always.
It's the approach our physios used inside professional and national programs, and it's what every client gets from their first session.
No guesswork, just goals
Every client starts here. We talk through your injury, your sport, your training and what you want back. No commitment and no pressure: an honest conversation about what's possible.
Data before decisions
Before we treat anything we measure it: force, range, control and the way you move. (The exact tests depend on the service: assessment, physio or rehab.)
Built around you
From your results your physio writes a plan for your body, your sport and your timeline. No templates, no printed sheets.
Measured, always
Rehab is a process, not a one-off. We re-test, raise the load as you adapt and stay with you until you're back, and after.
What our clients say
Dr Amara Okafor
“I've referred athletes to Load Theory for six seasons. Their reports are the only ones I read twice: clear numbers, clear reasoning and a return date they actually hit.”
