Who we are
Load Theory opened in 2019 in a former tram depot on Swan Street, two kicks from the stadiums. Its founders spent a decade inside AFL, A-League and national-team medical rooms, where every rehab decision was a dose: how much, how often, how soon.
They built a clinic around that idea: force plates and motion capture in the first session, a written loading program by the second and a return-to-play test before anyone is cleared.

How a comeback actually gets built
The same four steps for everyone, from first-grade players to first-time runners.

StepConsultation001
No guesswork, just goals
Every client starts here. We talk through your injury, your sport, your training and what you want back. No commitment and no pressure: an honest conversation about what's possible.
-
StepAssessment002
Data before decisions
Before we treat anything we measure it: force, range, control and the way you move. (The exact tests depend on the service: assessment, physio or rehab.)
-
StepYour loading plan003
Built around you
From your results your physio writes a plan for your body, your sport and your timeline. No templates, no printed sheets.
-
StepRe-test and progress004
Measured, always
Rehab is a process, not a one-off. We re-test, raise the load as you adapt and stay with you until you're back, and after.
